The Only Lipsticks You Need For Desk-To-Drinks

Nothing makes a girl feel quite as posh as a handbag filled with gorgeous beauty treats. And while sometimes, these can require a little saving before one can splash her cash, this October, the one update to my Autumn / Winter makeup bag is both, surprisingly affordable but decadent at the same time.

I’m talking, of course, about the new limited edition range of L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks created in collaboration with Balmain, one of the world’s edgiest fashion houses, and sold exclusively at Harvey Nichols stores in London, Manchester and Liverpool.

The lipsticks, which are gloriously matte but wonderfully creamy at the same time, come in twelve mild to wild shades (including totally out there navies, greens, greys and browns) and represent three tribes of femininity – Safari, Rock and Couture.

I absolutely love how the campaign sends the message of beauty in diversity and female empowerment with models of a vast array of ethnic backgrounds being chosen to wear the shades and represent their powerful message.

My three favourite shades are Domination – a bold, brick red which is my signature in the Autumn / Winter months and perfect for the office, Fever – a fiery orange that reminds me of Autumn leaves and Confession – a sweet peachy pink perfect for the daytime. I believe those three are the most wearable on a daily basis, but at £12.99 a pop, there’s nothing to stop you from experimenting with all the sultry jewel tones the line has to offer, which would be perfect for a glam evening out.

Which shade are you most likely to get? Share your answer with me in the comment box below.
