If you’ve been keeping up with the recent posts on the blog and have checked out this one, you’ll know that James and I have recently moved to a neighborhood we are absolutely in love with. It has the loveliest laid-back but vibrant vibe, is full of friendly people, the cutest little cafes, shops, restaurants and bars.[three_fourth]
Part of anywhere feeling like ‘home’ for me is being able to relax in a coffee shop where the wait staff know your name and ‘your order’, where you can sit for ages and blog, read or catch up with friends without feeling rushed. Which is why my trusty laptop or sometimes the pups and I head out feeling very spoiled for choice, trying out the many sweet little coffee shops our new ‘hood has to offer every Sunday before noon.
The perfect way to combine a cheat day with an opportunity to experiment, I roll out of bed around ten, slip into jeans, some light cosy knits, a pair of massive sunnies and flats, leaving my hair completely messy and undone (mainly because I simply can’t be bothered with it) and walk out to find a cafe to spend an hour or two.
One of our favourites has to be Saints and Scholars. They do the nicest hot chocolate ever (and God knows I’m always on the hunt for one of those on chilly, wet, rainy days), the staff is incredibly friendly and the dogs are always welcome when we’re sitting outside.
After we’re done, I usually cross the road and go into the newsagents to stock up on some fashion magazines, and then pop into the most gorgeous little florist, Delia’s for my weekly flower fix. I then lug my precious[/one_fourth_last]
loot back home, fueled by the sweetness of the warm and sticky hot chocolate I just had, ready to greet the week head on. What’s your weekend ritual? Share it with me in the comments below and don’t forget to scroll to the bottom for outfit details. See you at the next post!
